Luigi Ventura is an award winning Latin American D.P. & Artist, residing in Los Angeles. His work has toured local and international film festivals. He has a decorated career and works internationally through various companies. Over the years Luigi worked as a professional camera assistant and eventually joined Hollywood’s elite camera guild, Local 600. He was drawn to Photography at an early age. Behind the camera Luigi worked with premier Cinematographers like Vilmos Zsigmond (Close Encounters, Deer Hunter), Manuel Billeter (Jessica Jones, Ozark), David Miller (The Good Place, Veep), Todd McMullen (Santa Clarita Diet) and Lawrence Sher (Joker, Paul, Hangover). He’s inspired by Magnum Photographers such as Henri Cartier-Bresson, Josef Koudelka, & Richard Avedon. His favorite Filmmakers are Akira Kurosawa, Jean-Pierre Melville, Kar-Wai Wong and Jean Luc Godard. Luigi is now currently freelancing as a Cinematographer / Photographer for film studios, vertical dramas, magazines and award-winning publications. All through the lens of a 1st generation American.
